Problem is it doesn't seem like there's an easy method to get to Bendery Fortress to Tiraspol that I'm finding. See a few Marshrutka's, but seems I have to transfer and really am not getting a good idea of where they eventually stop or pick up in Bender. Heard there is a trolleybus, but not finding any information on that either. Using www. You have to keep in mind that the two sides never agreed about the border, as they don't agree about the independence of Transnistria from Moldova. So it's just a de-facto border that is not delimited. For practical reasons, it's enough to know where the transnistrian authorities control. On the right side of the street between Merenesti and Bender, OSM shows a dacha-settlement named in russian - this might also indicate that it's on PMR-controlled territory.
