Had heard from expats that lived nearby that this was a place that prostitutes hung out. Sure enough, hit on within 5 minutes while minding my own business.
What was worse is that the bartender watched and said nothing. Actually it was pretty quiet the few times I stopped in. Beer was cold and varied so thats pretty easy. Food was interesting, I had chicken wings upon first night day arrival just to get food into my system from the flight. It was okay but not to my "western" expectations. It was good but different. I didn't get sick that evening so thats a plus. Staff and service was very good.
One night they had a group function from local university and it was a too much for me, but the staff was very nice when I ordered and asked them to bring it to my room. Atmosphere is pretty good, but food is terrible.
Tiger beer on draft is a plus. Much better food next door at Bubba's. Also, less than a mile away is Laowei Street which has better expat restaurants. A fun place to rewind after work, its located within the hotel Hongqioa Marriott.
Good food and dring and live band. Service is great. The only other reviewer of this sports bar got it wrong, he confused the Hongqiao Marriott with the hotel in the city center.
