I didn't stay in the hotel but visited the bar area and restuarant. This place was terrible. I was constantly hounded by prostitutes asking if I would like a massage!! These ladies of the night were everywhere, including the hotel lobby area.
Never going back again. I would like to thank all Hotel staffs for there great hospitality and services they offered for me and my family during our stay in the hotel. Many thanks for the front desk staffs and housekeepers they are good by all means. My first experience with Delmon International Hotel was really bad. I was invited to spend an evening by the pool with dinner and a musical evening on the 14th of April. It was Vishu for malayalees like me and the price was 4BD per head inclusive of a buffet dinner.
I was invited by the family of one of the singers for that night. The moment I entered, I could only see people visiting night club in this hotel. I was with my family and the atmosphere was filled with tobacco smoke, with a lot of men staring at my wife unfortunately with a wrong intention. Having decided to come, we went by the pool and we were at first denied entry because we did not take ticket my host told me not to take.
As I waited for a decision, a lady from the night club came out running asking for the security, there was a scuffle there which worried me even more. However we were allowed to enter and even though the musical night was good, we did not have enough choice on vegetarian dishes - it was just plain rice and sambhar while there were many non vegetarian dishes to choose from.
Ideally it is not worth for a vegetarian family to pay 4 BD for a dinner since we could have had an 18 course vegetarian dinner at other places for 1. Hence my experience was really bad.
